Donna and I have been home about ten days now. When we drove up to our house, I was overwhelmed by emotion because I knew the Lord was returning me to the life I enjoyed a few weeks ago. Things are getting back to normal…whatever that is, right? Your prayer support and encouragement through calls, cards and visits is producing just what you intend in blessing our life as a family. We praise God for you!

We have not had a flood of visits, but we have been able to welcome a few to our home and each one has lifted us with a spirit of hope. This is the church at work. I have never been on the receiving end of such a ministry. Rest assured you make a difference as we move through each day and anticipate the full restoration of our ministry.

Just this week three medical professions confessed to us that they did not expect me to live through the early days of healing. What a testimony to the Lord’s power and grace! Donna and I were able to share God’s faithfulness. We do not understand why the Lord chooses to save one and not another, but we know in Christ that we are ready for whatever choice He makes for us. May the Lord add that sense of peace to your life as you pray for your family and other people. Our work together has a new sparkle as I think of the brilliant hope the Lord holds before us in the gospel of Jesus Christ!
